For this project, the coach of the Alexandria College baseball team reached out and asked us to make hype graphics for players that had committed to play on the team. Beginning this process, a team of people in the studio had to brainstorm, create, and rework layouts that could display all of the requirements asked for by the client in a functional design. After creating the finished layout design in a working file, the design was able to be quickly duplicated. Each time the coach needed another post for a new player, we were able to use this file and change the photo and name and then have a new hype graphic ready. This process allowed for unity throughout each of the player’s posts and also was efficient for our studio time.
Graphic design is about more than making things look good; it’s about using visual language to communicate ideas, solve problems, and connect with audiences. As the field has evolved, so has its scope. What was once defined primarily by print now includes branding systems, packaging, advertising, motion, digital media, and user experience.
We are proud students of Alexandria Technical & Community College. The college is located in Alexandria, Minnesota. We thrive in the Communication Design program, pushing our creativity to new heights every day. Collaborating with clients is an invaluable experience, and we are truly honored for the opportunity to bring ideas to life.
